Sofus, Morrie and Mr. Evil

I'm currently doing an exchange year here in New Zealand, and have been given the opportunity to write and illustrate a children's book! It is for two boards I'm supposed to finish in Art Design (a subject I swapped to last week). The task is not to create the whole book, but to kind of showing the process of what could be a real book. But I have and still am, longing to create a real book. So I'm going for the whole thing. I'll try to update with some progress shots here, so stay tuned :)

My two main characters, Sofus (top) and Morrie (bottom).
Mr. Evil (the triangle) and his two made-from-the-same-malefic-material siblings.

I also have to create different designs for Morrie and Sofus. I've already decided on which to use (the two first drawings), but I have to pretend that I'm going through a process here. So this is real kitty Morrie.

cocorico

a fellow that has been popping up in my sketches. I don't know him, yet. But I will invite him over for tea and apples (he adores apples) as soon as time allows us to. Then we will have a chat.

The Snjór

The Snjórs have a massive body, and fully grown adults are so large that an adult human can reach just to the Snjórs eyes while standing on their toes. They live on moss, lichen and other plants they find by digging through the snow. They can stand extremely low temperatures, as their compact body and fur is excellent in the arctic environment. The Snjórs head works just as a plough, as it separates the snow and leaves a tow trail. They gather during ferocious snow storms.
The females are loving and protective as mothers, and are often seen hiding their tiny cubs around her belly during extreme temperatures and sightings of predators, as the cubs are easy meat.

The Red Owl

I got a this little idea about trying to draw all my characters. I got quite a lot of them, but I'll just keep doing it as long as it's entertaining and fun. Here's the red owl, another fellow missing his name. He knows magic, but not even I know if his purposes are good or bad.

this is really tiny, 5 centimeters across. Thanks to griffsnuff for the box!

Fuglemannen

He hasn't received a proper name yet, so I'm just calling him for Fuglemannen. (The Bird Man). Say hi!

Welcome, swankies

Hello, this will be the place where I dump my occasional drawings, ideas and such things. All rights to me, unless stated. So please, no stealing. That would make me really angry (and I'm not an angry person :*)
